Overview

The BSc in Cyber Security trains students to combat digital threats and secure sensitive data. This hands-on program emphasizes ethical hacking, forensic investigation, and risk management to prepare graduates for roles in public and private security operations.

Program Objectives

Identify and analyze cyber vulnerabilities and risks

What You’ll Study

A four-year (8 semester) program with practical labs, capstone projects, and tech-driven problem solving.

Lab Work

Students simulate real attacks, build defenses, and investigate digital threats using security tools in supervised lab environments.

Entry Requirements

WASSCE/SSCE Applicants:

Core Subjects: English, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies.
Electives: Elective Math, Physics, ICT, or any technical subject

Diploma Holders:

Diploma in Computer Science or related field with GPA of 3.0 or better
May enter at Level 200 after transcript and departmental review

Mature Applicants:

Must be 25 years or older
Must pass a Mature Entrance Exam and submit proof of relevant work or academic history

International Students:

Must provide equivalent qualifications and proof of English proficiency.
Must meet standards set by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
